Tech giant, Microsoft, is all set to launch its prized product, Surface range of tablets in the Indian market this week. The Surface Pro 4 tablet will make it to India on 7th January and with this launch, it will be the first time that Microsoft will make its Surface range available in India officially, reported Economic Times. The introduction of this device to India was announced by Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, last year in November. "Start fresh on a brand new SURFACE! Microsoft India invites you to experience the world's most powerful computing device," read an invite sent by the Redmond-headquartered firm.
The price of the tablet in US is set at $899 but it has not yet been revealed what the price will be in India. According to the analysts, it will be roughly priced at Rs. 75,000 and above, as per the trade information. The Surface Pro 4 will feature a 12.3-inch screen and is powered by 6th generation intel core processor. The operating system is anybody's guess, Windows 10 and can turn into a laptop from a tablet while all its desktop software are still running. It only weighs 766 grams which makes it very easy to carry. Its 9-hour battery life and storage options such as 64GB that can be expanded to 128GB, 256GB and 500GB gives a lot of choices to users, depending upon their storage needs, said Money Control.
Microsoft also shared that there are 200 million computers as of today that run on Windows 10. Only six months old operating system has been the fastest-growing in the history of the company, said Business Standard.
