iPhone 5se Rumored to Release in March, Said to be a iPhone 5s Clone

Apple is all set to release its mid range handset, christened as iPhone 5se. The expected release date for the new handset is around 18th March 2016. Though the pricing of the handset is not yet revealed, the industry experts anticipate a sub $600 price range for the mini iPhone. There is also a possibility of the new iPhone not having the force touch capabilities.

The uncertainty tied to sales of iPhone 5se lies in the fact that many 5s owners did not upgrade to new generation offering by Apple and will not do so for 5se as well unless there is better storage proposition or better screen, predict the analysts, as reported by Amigo Bulls.

The smaller 4-inch iPhone that is believed to be the new handset to be launched in the March event will be a clone of iPhone 5s that was released in 2013 but will be faster with an upgraded internal hardware. The new iPhone 5se will most likely replace the 5s phones and will presumably launch at the same price point.

Expect the handset to be powered by Apple's A9 SoC with an M9 chip and a rear camera with 8-megapixel quality. Also get NFC for Apple Pay, Live Photo feature that was introduced with iPhone 6s and the latest Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular hardware that the company has recently introduced in its new iPhone models, reports TechSpot

Sources familiar with the release of the iPhone told 9to5Mac that Apple may even drop the "5" from handset's name and call it only iPhone SE. If true, this will be the first iPhone to lose the number in its name.
