Video game developer 343 Industries has announced its popular Xbox One shooting title "Halo 5: Guardians" is soon going to receive a new update. The new update titled "Memories of Reach" will bring in new features including the highly anticipated multiplayer mode 'Infection,' new Arena map 'Stasis,' brand new Reqs and more, according to IBTimes.

The Infection mode plays out as humans-versus-zombies outbreak with infected players trying to grow their numbers by taking out the opposite team. Infection will include three modified maps from amongst existing ones, as well as some other features including new specific medals and more. The medals include Zombie Hunter, Zombie Slayer, Hell's Janitor, Hell Jumper, Zombicide, The Cure, Infector, Carrier, Ravager, Plague Bearer, Lord of the Flies, Last Man Standing, Infected, Ancient One, Survived, Resourceful, Stalker and Flatline, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

There will be a new feature called Matchmaking Search Preferences which will be accessible from the Arena and Warzone playlist selection screens. This new feature will enable players to pick from various search preferences available, which are Balanced, Focused, and Expanded.

In addition, the "Halo 5: Guardians" DLC would include upgrades surrounding the Post Game Carnage Report. "Memories of Reach" player recap screen would display medals earned from the match, including quantity, rarity and a brief description, tool of destruction, player who killed the most, player who got killed the most as well as recap for other players who participated in the match.

The Halo team has also confirmed that the upcoming "Memories of Reach" DLC update would resolve bugs and glitches that have affected the "Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer and Sandbox gamers.

"For Memories of Reach, we've fixed a bug where Spartan Charge would not properly target enemies at the edges of a red reticle on the horizontal plane (you can still get red reticle and miss vertically). Fear not, though - players who skillfully evade a Spartan-Charging player with Thrust will still escape without taking damage," explained Halo community manager Andy Dudynsky in Halo Waypoint.

While, no fixed date has been announced for the release of "Halo 5: Guardians" "Memories of Reach" DLC, it is expected that the Halo team would announce more about the update during the livestream event scheduled on Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT.
