Xiaomi Mi Max Specs, Price & Release Date: Phone Better Than iPhone SE?

Xiaomi Mi Max is available in the market for purchase starting today and the phone is said to have received 16 million pre-orders from China alone. With its exclusive features the mid-range smartphone is all set to compete with iPhone SE.

The Xiaomi Mi Max comes with 6.44-inch display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution and will be out in three color variants namely, gold, silver and grey. The smartphone will also feature an exclusive 4850mAh battery, which ensures a good battery life. Few reports also claim that Xiaomi Mi Max battery can keep the device active for 14 long hours and is the best among other devices of the class available in the market.

The smartphone weighs about 203 grams and 7.5 mm thin. It comes with a metal unibody and a rear finger print scanner. The phone features 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. The rear camera features dual-tone LED flash and PDAF, according to BGR.

As for the price, the first variant powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 costs $326, the second variant Snapdragon 652 with 3GB of RAM is priced $360 and the exclusive version with Snapdragon 652 and 4GB of RAM + 128GB storage is priced at $500.

"Meanwhile iPhone SE is powered by the Apple A9 chipset just like the iPhone 6. There are two variants of the iPhone SE- the 16GB model and the 64GB model. The phone is also featuring a 1642 mAh non-removable battery which can stay up to 14 hours. The phone is available in four color schemes-Space Gray, Silver, Rose Gold and Gold. There is a 12MP iSight camera with 1.22micro pixels, f2/2 aperture, true tone flash, Auto HDR and an Auto image stabilization. Its 5-megapixel front camera can click good selfies," reported The Bit Bag.

iPhone SE that features a 4-inch Retina display and a resolution of 1136×640 pixels costs $399 in the US. The display however don't exhibit 3D touch feature. The phone is rumored to have faster LTE, Wifi connectivity and Touch ID with Apple Pay.

It is not sure whether Xiaomi Mi Max with its exclusive features can compete with Apple's iPhone SE, the most popular brand in the country. However, it is certain that both the phones have their edge over each other as far as their specs and design are concerned.
