Apple is all set to release iOS 10, new operating system for iPhone and iPad during the annual developers conference (WWDC) in San Francisco in mid-June. It is reported that Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi, will introduce iOS 10 during the event.

Federighi will reportedly release iOS 10 during the conference's keynote presentation around 10 am PDT on Monday, 13 Jun, 2016. For users curious about the new features introduced in iOS 10 the up to date details are here under.

Apple Pay

According to the rumors, iOS 10 will feature an updated Apple Pay app, Apple's contactless payment platform. Now, the users can pay through the mobile site and in-app purchases enabled with passcode security verification and possibly finger print scanning method.

Updated Siri

"Reports suggest digital assistant Siri may be updated to handle your voicemails, transcribing them to read without having your ring your inbox and select the message you want to listen to. The update would be in line with Siri's speculated integration with OS X software for Mac, which Apple is rumoured to have been testing for several years, but is now ready to reveal to the world with OS X 10.12, which will also made an appearance at WWDC," reported Telegraph.

Hiding Irrelevant Apps

Some of the default applications like Compass, Stocks and Apple Watch that users want to delete can be hidden permanently in iOS 10. Since some of the applications could be interlinked to other apps deleting them might affect the apps in use.

Digital Touch In iPhone

Digital touch that enables the user to draw a picture using fingertips and share it with other users is introduced in iOS 10. It is to be noted that the feature which is available in Apple watch is making its way into iPhones.

Updated Apple Music

An updated version of Apple music with an expanded version of radio service is said to be made available in iOS 10.

Contact availability status

"As MacWorld notes, the patent could be 'summarised as a system that detects where your friends are, and whether they're available and the operating status of their iPhone (such as silent or Airplane mode), and presents that information in the Contacts app. If you're thinking that has the whiff of surveillance about it - well, it does, but only to the same extent as Find My Friends, and it would presumably be optional for both parties," noted Know Your Mobile.
