Facebook is now trending, not just on earth but also in space. Yes, the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is all set host a live call with three astronauts on space using Facebook live.

Zuckerberg will speak to three astronauts Tim Kopra, Jeff Williams and Tim Peake, who are currently living in the space station through Facebook Live video earth-to-space call. The call would reportedly take place for 20 minutes and the astronauts will have the question put forth by Zuckerberg submitted on NASA's Facebook page.

The Facebook founder will speak to the astronauts in space on 1, July 2016 at 12:55 p.m. EDT, which can be watched by users on NASA's Facebook page. Among the three astronauts living on the space station, two of them namely Kopra and Williams are from NASA and Peake is from ESA's (European Space Agency's).

"What is it like to live and work in microgravity orbiting the Earth? What sorts of out-of-this-world science is underway in the space station's laboratories? How does the research in space help prepare to send humans on a Journey to Mars?" are some of the questions to be asked by Zuckerberg to the astronauts, as reported in NASA's Facebook Page.

The users are also encouraged to post their questions in one of the Facebook pages if they have anything interesting to know from the astronauts. The link to the same is also provided on the NASA's Facebook page.

"The International Space Station serves as the world's leading laboratory for conducting cutting-edge microgravity research, and is the primary platform for technology development and testing in space to enable human and robotic exploration of destinations beyond low-Earth orbit, including asteroids and Mars," noted NASA's official report from Jason Townsend Headquarters, Washington and Hayley Fick from Johnson Space Center, Houston.
