Google Pixel Vs Nexus 6P: Which Android Phone You Should Buy
October 7 is a big day for Google as the search giant has announced the launch of its flagship product-Pixel, Smartphone. Along with this Google also unveiled DayDream, Virtual Reality Headset and Home, Google Personal Assistant. Google started manufacturing its own smartphones under the brand "Nexus".
Google Pixel smartphone is to be launched in two variants-Pixel & Pixel XL, with the key difference being size and RAM used. With the advent of Pixel, Nexus brand is killed. The main difference between Pixel and Nexus 6p is the former is manufactured by HTC and latter by Huawei. Pixel is an upgraded version of Nexus 6P. Between the two, Nexus 6P is of 5.5" and Pixel comes in two sizes-5" & 5.5".
Pixel smartphone is equipped with Snapdragon 821 Octa-core processor with 2.15 GHz, which can perform 10% faster than the 2GHz processor of Nexus 6P. This is coupled with 4GB RAM along with the choice of 32 GB or 128 GB storage. Pixel smartphone is installed with latest Android 7.1 Nougat while Nexus 6P is upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat. This latest software helps in smoother functioning of Daydream software on Pixel than on any other smartphone.
The heart of the Pixel is Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled Google Personal Assistant, similar to Apple Siri. In fact, Pixel is the first smartphone to enjoy the Google AI assistant features. The user can book a table at a Restaurant or can recall show timings at their favorite theater by simply pressing the home button that invokes Google Assistant.
Pixel 32GB variant is available for £599, while the 128 GB is offered at £699. Similarly, Pixel XL is available at a whopping £719 and £819 for 32GB and 128 GB storage respectively.
