‘Marco Polo’ Season 3 Spoilers: Benedict Wong Not To Reprise His Role?
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the upcoming season of 'Marco Polo' on Netflix. However, the third installment of the series might not have Benedict Wong reprise his role of Kublai Khan.
Rumors suggest that Wong is having second thoughts on his role of Kublai Khan and wants out of the show. Sources indicate that the reason could be the death of Kublai Khan in Season 3 of the show which might have prompted Wong to consider leaving or portraying another character in the show.
Other speculations for his absence in Season 3 hint to his hectic schedule of 'Doctor Strange' that Wong has been busy shooting for. Wong is also said to be demanding for an increase in his talent fee in order to reprise his role in Season 3. This has led to another rumor that in order to explain his exit, the makers of the show might have Kublai Khan killed in Season 3 to make way for other story angles.
Fans will definitely be disappointed to see the exit of Wong, as they have been very vocal about how 'Marco Polo' would not be the same without him.
Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Season 3 of 'Marco Polo' will be focusing more on Tom Wu's Hundred Eyes, the trainer of Marco Polo and the new Mongol Khanate Minister of Martial Arts. Recent tweets by the show's creator John Fusco might have led to the circulation of this rumor.
'A rumor can travel the world before before the truth has even put on its slippers,' Fusco tweeted with a photo of Tom Wu in the guise of his character, Hundred Eyes, among others.
'Marco Polo' Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2017 on Netflix. Stay tuned to Counselheal for more spoilers, updates on the upcoming Season 3 of 'Marco Polo.'
