Jennifer Lawrence and Director Darren Aronofsky seem to hit it off quite nicely. The two sparked dating rumors as the couple were spotted having lunch together at a New York City resto.

It's hard to believe that The Hunger Games star, the highest-paid actress in the world would ever have dating woes. According to Grazia, Jennifer described her dating status last year being quite gloomy. She was quoted as saying, "No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night."

But after an on again off again relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin back in 2015, Lawrence seem to have hit it off nicely with Aronofsky while working on a project this summer.

He's over two decades her senior, but the Oscar-winning actress doesn't seem to mind. She said that she really doesn't have a certain type. Because if you think about all her past boyfriends, they turn out to be so incomparable. She told this in an interview with Harper's bazaar. But what could have possibly attracted her to new flame? His films garnered festival awards including The Wrestler in 2008, Requiem for a Dream in 2000, and his debut film Pi in 1998. He was also nominated for Best Director by the Academy for his film Black Swan which starred Natalie Portman in 2010. Unfortunately, he lost it to Tom Hooper, the director of The King's Speech.

He Was Rachel Weisz's Fiance'

As reported by Grazia, in the summer of 2001 Aronofsky and Rachel Weisz's romance began to blossom. They were engaged four years later but did not get married. They finally split in 2010 after nine years. They have a ten-year-old son named Henry Chase. Both of them remain good friends and are actively involved in their child's rearing.

People claimed that when he is not busy directing, writing, and producing films, Aronofsky spends his time fighting for the environmental issues he's most passionate about. He is a board member of The Sierra Club Foundation and the School of Field Studies. This is the largest environmental program in the United States. Back in 2015 he worked with artist/friend JR on a public installation in Paris. This is to encourage diplomats to take a stand against climate change. The year before that he went with Keri Russell and Leonardo DiCaprio to Alberta Tar Sandas and Alaska's Arctic's National Wildlife Refuge. Because of this, he's been awarded honors by the Humane Society of the United States and PETA.
