Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev Relationship: The Way They Treat Each Other Gets Worse By The Minute

By Audrey | Update Date: Oct 25, 2016 08:39 AM EDT

Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev relationship is only getting worse. The longtime running hit series The Vampire Diaries will soon come to an end as season 8 is reportedly their last season. It looks like fans' dreams of the two getting back together are definitely down the drain. Dobrev is supposedly ignoring her co-star while Somerhalder is too busy to care. He's too preoccupied planning a future with his wife, Nikki Reed.

As per CelebDirtyLaundry, Somerhalder stated that he looked forward to raising a family with Nikki. Unfortunately, their crazy schedules at the moment filming demanding series such as The Vampire Diaries make it difficult to do so. Reed has kept mom on the issue, sparking rumors that she's not as excited about starting a family. Besides, she may have to reprise her role in the Twilight series since a spin-off or prequel is reported to be in early development.

This shouldn't be much of a problem since the series is expected to end after the eighth season. TVLine claims that showrunners and the creative team are doing their best to keep Elena on the show. Still, this is not a hundred percent guarantee that she will indeed reprise her role. Dobrev has already finished recording her dialogue for season 7. Right now negotiations are going on for her comeback in the season 8 finale. It is speculated that she and Damon may be reunited in the end.

There's nothing we can do if Dobrev no longer cares about her co-star Somerhalder. What's disturbing though is that she seems not to care about the entire show at all who she's been a part of for the last eight years. It's evident in this Instagram post when she said, "And she gave no f****. Not even one. And she lived happily ever after. The end." How about the fans, girl? Don't you owe them something for loving and supporting you all this time?
