‘Westworld’ Episode 5 Recap; Episode 6 Spoilers Deepen The Mystery Of The Maze Further
HBO's new series, 'Westworld' is gaining popularity as the fifth installment of the series aired on Oct 30. The sci-fi series' plots are hooking everyone's attention as the upcoming episodes are digging deep into the mystery of the maze.
Here's a quick recap of Episode 5 of 'Westworld'
The episode began with host Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), heading to Pariah in tow with park visitors, Logan (Ben Barnes) and William (Jimmy Simpson). The trio met the gang leader, El Lazo, who assigned them a task of robbing explosives. In the event, while the trio succeeded in the mission, Dolores' repeated visions reveaedl to her that the task of stealing explosives and selling them to Confederati was just a ploy of El Lazo to have Logan in captivity by them. However, while Logan is taken captive, William succeeded in saving Dolores as they hopped on a train to flee out of Pariah. The episode also revealed that El Lazo was actually Lawrence. Since he died earlier in the episode, it can be safe to assume that the series is taken in multi-timeline, according to iTechPost.
Meanwhile, Dolores seemed to be growing in her consciousness with recurring visions of her. In one of them, when Ford (Anthony Hopkins) asked her if she heard Arnold's voice, she denied, but then she was heard talking to someone saying, "He doesn't know. I didn't tell him anything." Does that mean Dolores could be speaking to Arnold?
Elsewhere, surgeons worked to patch Maeve (Thandie Newton) together again while Elsie (Shannon Woodward) found a device on the arm that could transmit information out of the park. But the episode didn't reveal who was responsible for it.
However, the main highlight of the episode was the face to face meet-up of Ford and Man in Black (Ed Harris). Ford asked him what he expected to find in the center of the maze to which Man in Black replied that he wanted to find that something left behind by the mysterious Arnold. In the build up to the meet-up, Man in black decided to sacrifice Lawrence (Clifton Collins Jr) by draining his blood and donating it to save the near-death Teddy (James Marden).
