PS4 Slim is now available in the market and Sony is likely to roll out the PS4 Pro. There is nothing wrong in making a comparison between both these devices to make it clear which device is the right purchase for you.

Technically speaking there would be a major gap between the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro. There is an identical hardware in the PS4 Slim if compared to the original PS4. It is packed with a revamped, sleeker case and there is a use of an updated controller as well.

To recollect the specs of standard PS4 - an Octa-Core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz, an HDD of 500 GB, A GPU from Radeon, clocked at 800MHz and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM running at 176 GB/s.

According to Sony, the PS4 Pro will bring 1 TB of storage capacity and a double boosted GPU power which is 4.20 teraflop. The graphics technology of this device shall be powered by AMD's Polaris technology.

Play station VR is perfect for both the variants of the console but the PS4 Pro is at the advantage as it is having enhanced graphical and processing power.

There is no support for 4K in the PS4 Slim whereas the PS4 Pro is capable of rendering games in the high-resolution standards. It also allows 4K streaming. If you wish to experience the entire 4K awe, you have to plug the console into a 4K TV.

Both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro are making use of the same controller and it is slightly improved as compared to the classic PS4.

It has been noticed that the PS4 Slim and the DualShock 4 features a light bar on the front. You can also see gray paint and a matte finish for the panels behind the face button which are visible in the new DualShock 4.
