'Homeland' Season 6 Spoilers, News And Updates: The US Elects First Lady President, Carrie Leaving CIA For Good?

Homeland Season 6 spoilers find our lead characters back in the United States after an entire season in Germany. Carrie Mathison does her best to become the best mother her daughter Frannie deserves. She also needs to come to terms with her true feelings for Peter Quinn.

Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is back in New York after being away in Germany. Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) barely survived his ordeal and his injuries took it's toll in his relationship with Carrie. There's also the need for Carrie to take care of her daughter and really be there for her. Thus, the need to consider quitting her job in the CIA, as published by EW. She will instead work for a non-government organization focused on raising awareness about Muslims being discriminated against.

Meanwhile, viewers can expect a lady president for the upcoming season as noted by IndieWire. Regardless of the November election outcome, this will be the nation's choice (at least in the show) according to the showrunners. There's a very interesting transition stage as the new administration prepares to take it's reigned from the old one while it is still trying to fix some loose ends before they finally step down.

However, the producers made it clear that the show's US president will not be modeled after Hillary Clinton, the Democratic party's bet. She may also display some Trum-like qualities, including those of Bernie Sanders. Agency veteran Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) is also expected to be back. He's more devoted now than ever to the CIA. Fans can look forward to the interesting repertoire between him and Carrie.
