Apart from making some Diablo 3 announcements, Blizzard shared some interesting information during a 20-year anniversary panel at BlizzCon.

Emphasis was laid on discussions about the details of Necromancer which returns from Diablo 2. There was an inclusion of the breakdown which differentiates the Necromancer from the Witch Doctor.

Whatever is the nature of your summoning pets like skeletons and zombies will have new components. The Witch Doctor features are passive because you can activate a Necromancer skeleton skill so as to cause them to attack another target.

You can also see different resources like Witch Doctor uses Mana where as the Necromancer uses essence along with the corpses left behind by the deceased enemies.

You can blow 10 bodies at a time when the Corpse Explosion Skill comes back. When the Bone Spear returns it shoots a piercing attack out in a straight line.

To slow down the enemies and to reduce their damage the returning curse Decrepify is available. This curse helps in grouping all the enemies.

There is one more newly added skill called Siphon Blood. This skill channels on a single enemy and helps in recovering the health and essence.

If you want to teleport to another location there is a skill called Blood Rush.

With the help of the Blood Golem, you can summon a massive wave of skeletons along with the Army of The Dead. This will cause them to rush a location and explode for damage.

Necromancer comes as a character pack which is termed as The Rise of The Necromancer. This may include two character slots, and two stash tabs, for those playing on a PC. More details shall be announced next year and the game might be launched in second half of 2017.

A patch will come separately in 2017 which will add the Armory. It will act as a way of managing load outs. Because of this feature, you will be able to save at least five loadout for each character.
