Brad Pitt Pulls Out Of Promotion Of His Film ‘Allied’ Amid Custody Battle
Brad Pitt has pulled out of all promotion events of his forthcoming film, 'Allied' due to the ongoing custody battle after his split with Angelina Jolie.
Pitt plays the lead role of Max Vatan, starring opposite Marion Cotillard in 'Allied.' The romantic thriller film is slated to release on Nov. 23.
The actor is refusing to do any interviews, press junkets or chat show appearances amid the controversy surrounding his high profile divorce with Jolie, Mail Online reported.
A source told The Sun: "This was supposed to be the start of a big campaign push for Brad to finally win an acting Oscar but there's too much controversy for him to risk any publicity."
Loads of chat show studios are gutted as they had Pitt booked to come and dozens of journalists have had their interviews scrapped as a result of him pulling out of the promotion events, revealed the source. Reportedly, they are also being briefed not to ask anybody else related to the film to talk and comment on Pitt's personal life.
The actor will also not walk the red carpet in Los Angeles for the film's premiere in retrospect of the crisis he is currently facing with the divorce and the custody battle. Hence, the current tactic is to lie low and even if he does appear for the event, he will not say a word to the media and will sneak in a side door, said the source to The Sun.
Following reports that Pitt and Jolie had split, Cotillard issued a statement denying any part and involvement in the break-up amid speculation that her chemistry with Pitt had left Jolie insecure.
Cotillard is pregnant with her second child and the father is her partner since 2007, actor Guillaume Canet.
