'The Affair' Season 3 is slated to premiere on Sunday, Nov. 20 on Showtime after its run of two explosive hit seasons. Season 3 is expected to pick up three years after Noah (Dominic West ) took the fall for the murder.

It can be recalled in Season 2 of 'The Affair,' Helen ( Maura Tierney) and Noah get entangled in an incident that ended life of Scotty Lockhart ( Colin Donnell). It was actually Helen who drove the car and hit Lockhart while Alison (Ruth Wilson) was the one who pushed him to death. But Noah took the fall for both Helen and Alison and confessed to the crime he didn't commit.

An exclusive trailer of Season 3 of the show was shared on TVGuide that offered glimpses of these characters three years later. As reported by TVGuide, in Season 3, Noah emerges a different,less confident man coming out of prison. But his troubles are far from over. That's because a security guard (Brendan Fraser) is giving Noah some major stress. Although details are not revealed, Noah appears to be very troubled by the guard who is apprised of his whereabouts now that he's on the outside. A hint is also thrown saying that the Lockhart drama is not over yet and Noah should keep an eye over his shoulder, thus making way for a set of intriguing plots and dramas unfurling in Season 3.

The trailer shows a guilt-ridden Helen while Alison seems to be caught in a difficult situation as she is faced with accusations that she abandoned her daughter in Season 2.

Christian Daily said that Noah is expected to find a new love interest in Julia Le Gall's Irene Jacob who helps Noah 'process a trauma from his past and understand himself a little better.'
