iOS 10.1 Jailbreak: Is It Ready?
The iOS 10.1.1 is here, but there is no jailbreak so far. Pangu was reportedly on top of this jailbreaking, however, it too has had no luck so far. Pangu and other hackers seem to be working hard to produce the iOS 10.0.2 jailbreak, which is the last version that Apple would be backing.
There have been news about some people managing to jailbreak the iOS 10.1, and they have posted videos regarding this. However, the jailbreaking still seems to be unstable with lots of security violations and won't be released to the public.
It is highly unlikely that these jailbreaking methods are safe, and Apple users are requested to not click links or download software for cracking the iOS. For the jailbreak users would require a software which may lead their phones to be open to hacking. Although the official jailbreak isn't available, users that have jailbroken the phone assure that the phone can be jailbroken.
It might still take a while for users to get their hands on the new jailbreak, since Pangu isn't releasing the jailbreak now. Pangu had earlier jailbroken several versions of the iOS including iOS 9.3.3 and that is the last jailbreaking tool that is on offer from the hacker group.
In other news, the iOS 10.2 beta 2 has recently resurfaced, which means another round of updates are waiting for the iOS devices. With every update, Apple strengthens the security features, making jailbreaking still more difficult to achieve.
Apple might take a while to release the iOS 10.2 officially, as there will be a number of betas, as Mac Rumors reported. The iOS 10.1.1 was released to fix some issues regarding the Health app. As for security updates along with this update, there seem to be no word on it.
For hackers though, the iOS 10.2 would bring new opportunities should they be able to solve the problems with the jailbreaking.
