Model Numbers Leak: Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus And Galaxy Note 8 May Soon Line Up To Gear-Up Sales
After a battle-ground year with Samsung Galaxy Note 7 the Korean tech giant plans to overcome the loss of name by releasing the next set of galaxy smartphones geared up with improved features. The models numbers of the upcoming phones got leaked via Twitter.
Samsung Galaxy 8 Model Numbers Leaked
According to Blass's Tweet, two model numbers have been revealed. Samsung is skipping the SMG94* and has jumped to SMG950 and SMG955. This suggests that Samsung Galaxy 8 will be released in flat and curved screen versions. However, it is rumored that Samsung would not sport the flat screen version this time.
Note series might have a successor!
Blass also tweeted, "Know what else is in the works? SM-N950." This suggests that Samsung is planning on its next version of Note which may be called Galaxy Note 8. Though, rumors say that Samsung will not be working on any more Note Phones, looks like Samsung is planning on its next Note version as well. Samsung has confirmed that Note 7 users will be getting 50% off on Galaxy S8.
The rumored specs of Samsung Galaxy 8
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to come out in two sizes 5.1 and 5.5-inch 4K AMOLED display for the flat and curved models. However, it is also said that Samsung is planning to increase their phone size to whooping 5.7 and 6.2 inches instead of the former mentioned one. The Galaxy S8 is also rumored to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 or Samsung Exynos Processor with 4-6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a micro-SD slot for expansion.
It will sport Android 7.1 Nougat with Samsung TouchWiz. The rear camera could be dual with OIS, phase detection auto-focus, f/1.7 aperture is expected to be 12-16 Megapixel and the front camera could be 5-8 megapixel similar to Note 7. It is also rumored that Samsung plans to get rid of the home button and will be equipped with Fingerprint and Iris Scanners, IP68 dust & water resistance, 3,100 and 3,600 mAh battery with Fast & Wireless Charging, Improved Always-On Display, Dual Speaker configuration and more.
The phones are rumored to be launched at the 2017 Mobile World Congress MWC, at Brazil.
