Samsung Galaxy Beta Program Gets Android Nougat 7.0 For Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge- Hurry Up!

Like the last year for Android Marshmallow, this year Samsung announced that it is letting users test the beta version of Android Nougat in Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge phones. The Android 7.0 Nougat beta version is available for users to test from November 9, 2016 in the US, UK and Korea. The company also said that the beta version will soon be available for users in China.

Android 7.0 Nougat was unveiled in August 2016 and it is currently available in all Nexus phones. Although, Samsung's Galaxy series are the most popular smartphones in the market they are pretty late in the line to release Nougat. However, Samsung releases a beta version of the OS to make sure users have the best experience of the OS when it is out for an official release. Also, Galaxy fans are hoping that the official release of Android Nougat is not far away!

The Galaxy Beta Program for Android N is released on a first-come-first-serve basis. Users in US, UK, Korea and eventually China can download the Galaxy Beta Program app or the Samsung Members App from Play Store or Galaxy Apps to reserve their slot for experiencing the Android 7 Nougat first before the whole world. A Samsung account required for the same.

Hence, users who have a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge can download the Android 7.0 Nougat beta version and provide feedback on their experience. According to Samsung's statement "Throughout the Galaxy Beta Program period, users can get a feel for Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung's latest UX, and can provide feedback on performance, reliability and usability".  The company also stated that these responses will them develop much more reliable, and better performing software that will offer an improved and optimized user experience.

The Android 7.0 Nougat is has improved performance, battery optimization and notification options along with night mode for reading, multi-window options and various other value-added features.

However, the Samsung's special Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition, Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition and the carrier-based locked Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge models are not eligible for this program. Also Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones in the US under carriers other than T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon also excluded from the beta-test. They have to wait for the Android Nougat official version along with the rest of the world.
