iPhone 8 To Sport Bezel-Free Dual Curved OLED Displays: Rumors

The Cupertino-based tech giant is nearing its 10th anniversary in 2017. Analysts believe that Apple shall release its iPhone 8 as a part of their 10th anniversary and iPhone 8 is expected to be a revolutionary game changer in designs and features.

Apple's Phones to expand vertically and horizontally

According to the predictions of Analysts from Barclays Research, Apple is expected to release bezel-less, curved iPhones in 2017. The iPhones will be 5 inch and 5.8 inch sizes for iPhone8 and iPhone8 Plus increasing from the usual 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches screen size.

A research note from 9to5Mac and Mac Rumors said that "we'll see new 5-inch and 5.8-inch iPhones with curved, bezel-free designs next year."

Rumors also suggest that the iPhone8 will be a complete makeover in design compared to the iPhones launched so far. Apple is expected to feature "dual-curve" OLED- Organic Light emitting diode display, which is thinner and lighter than LCD. It consumes less battery and has better scratch-resistance.

The iconic glass back of iPhone 4/4S could be back

According to Ming-Chi Kuo KGI Securities analyst, iPhone8 will have body-features similar to iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with glass in the front and back design. However, it is not known on how they are going to meet the weight-less-ness of the phone. Also, reports say that iPhone may feature stainless steel or aluminum casing.

Reports also suggest that the iconic Home button of Apple iPhone shall not be seen anymore as the company is planning to replace it with on the screen home option sporting finger-print sensors. However, Barclay's Analysts are cynical about this change.

Rumors also say that Apple will be exploring the possibilities of long range wireless-charging in the upcoming phone. The smartphone giant has not unveiled the 100% possibility of coming up with a model that will have all or most of the above mentioned improvements. However, it is said that the phone is expected to be released by September 2017 on Apple's 10th anniversary event.
