Samsung Is Hesitant To Roll Out Its High-Tech Foldable Smartphone, Galaxy X In 2016
Samsung Galaxy X, the first foldable smartphone project conceptualized in 2015, but still awaiting an official word on the project. The phone boasted with novel technology, hopes to turn the fortunes of Samsung, wounded by the disastrous burnout of Galaxy Note 7. Galaxy X is dream smartphone for people who like a small smartphone that fit inside their purse or pocket and easy to grab in their small hands, unlike the typical 5.5" smartphones.
Technical Specifications:
As per Digital Trends, Samsung has registered for a patent in the US for a foldable smartphone in the end of September 2016. Further, the smartphone is to be made to Aluminum foil with OLED display. The phone will be clad in with Super AMOLED screen of 4K resolution (2160 X 3840).
Considering the dominance of dual camera in other models like LG G5 and Huawei Mate 9, the Samsung's flagship product will settle no less than dual camera's at the rear, fitted with the best lens to give killer shots to shooters in low-light and night photography. It is believed that Samsung may build its own lens instead of trying Sony lens for Galaxy X.
It is rumored that Samsung is testing with two models having different processors for the Galaxy X. One embedded with Qualcomm 620 processor and other with Qualcomm 820 or 830 predecessor. It may be provided with 3GB RAM or higher with Micro SD slot expandable storage.
Pricing:
We presume, undoubtedly, that the price would be higher than iPhone 7, as it is the only technological marvel product available in the market and Samsung tries to price in the R&D expenses in the flagship product.
Launch Date:
As per Korea Herald, Samsung could unveil the Galaxy X during Mobile Congress to be held in Barcelona in February 2017.
With the rise in a number of smartphone brands, Samsung pie of market share is shrinking. Hopefully, Samsung regains its lost market share with the launch of Galaxy X smartphone.
