Nintendo has notified that Wii U production will not continue. It has been noticed that the market sales for the gaming console have declined. This notification was made public before the launch of the Company's Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo also confirmed that the company has already sent the stock to all the American stores for the upcoming holiday season. This could also be a possible reason of the shutting down the production at the Wii U stores.

It is believed that all Wii U hardware will be offered in North American region for this fiscal year and the hardware has almost reached to Nintendo's retail partners. Nintendo further revealed that those who are interested in purchasing the Wii U produced hardware can check the retailers for the console's availability.

Nintendo may shut down the Wii U production by March 2017 but the company is denying any such move.
