'Making A Murderer' Season 2 will be streaming shortly on Netflix. The new season is said to feature updates in the case of Stephen Avery's nephew, Brendan Dassey. The two had been convicted on charges of murder of a local photographer, Teresa Halbach in 2005.

Creators of the show, Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi confirmed that Season 2 of 'Making A Murderer' will see a mock trial of Dassey in the courtroom. Dassey's incarceration was documented in the first season which showed that Wisconsin police took advantage of him so that he ended up confessing helping his uncle, Avery to commit the murder of Halbach, Parent Herald reported.

According to CNN, court documents showed that since Dassey was of 'low average' IQ and young, police was able to manipulate his confession, as shown in 'Making A Murderer.'

The conviction of Dassey was overturned by the courts last August. On Monday, US magistrate judge William Duffin said that Dassey should be freed pending certain conditions. He must not obtain passport, a gun and is not allowed to contact Avery's or Halbach's family among other conditions.

The attorney of 'Making A Murderer' claimed that he intends to have Dassey out before Thanksgiving, Nov. 24. However, no sooner had the judge ordered the release of Dassey that the Wisconsin state prosecutors have objected to the decision. They said they will not allow the release of Dassey to happen and that he will continue to remain in the prison. It has been reported that the state actually appealed the overturn and is also set to lodge an emergency motion for Dassey's stay.

Meanwhile, Avery is also appealing his case in the court.He has a new lawyer appointed by the name of Kathleen Zellner, who has been granted an agreed order to access DNA evidence on the crime scene recently. However, details of the agreed order are yet to be determined as to how the evidence will be examined and tested.
