Westworld season 2 spoiler reveals it will be keeping Ed Harris for the upcoming season, per Entertainment Weekly. The academy award winning actor said in an interview he'll definitely be involved to reprise his role as the mysterious Man In Black.
Aside from his return as John Wilson, Harris also confirmed that this season would comprise of ten episodes, the usual number for an HBO series. He spoke with Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy, that's why he can affirm what some viewers have long been speculating on.
For others, though this may be a bit confusing because they thought he'd be dead by season end. After all, there were several enigmatic references his character made in the show. A lot of fans, therefore, assumed that Harris' role wouldn't get past the first season. But how can you do that when you know that would be such a waste? He has a strong fan base, viewers gravitate towards him and he contributes a lot in the rating's game. So what's the point of writing him off?

As if one Oscar winner isn't enough, here's Anthony Hopkins who play the role of Dr. Ford. He has a crazy itinerary to beat signing on for a couple of films, one with academy nominated director Darren Aranofsky. He's also currently working on a play in London's West End. They're so in demand that even if one show wants to keep them, other commitments are preventing that from happening.
Even though Harris is definitely in for season 2, it's still not clear if he would return as a host or he'll just appear in a number of flashbacks which the showrunners are known for. As published by Polygon, Nolan and Joy have not written that part yet. So it seems they're still toying around with a few ideas that would best satisfy their audience.
Again, we'll just have to wait and see. Westworld airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. For more of Westworld season 2 spoiler and latest updates, keep it here on Counselheal. Hit us with your feedback in the comments below.
