Ronda Rousey made her come back to UFC and surprised the fans and the rest of MMA world. The former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion faced-off with the current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. The meeting lasted for several minutes and signals the commencement of the two champs' upcoming fight.

After the UFC 205 final weigh-ins, Joe Rogan asked the fans inside Madison Square Garden to stay as they will be doing a special face-off for the UFC 207. He emphasized that the main event will showcase the homecoming of one of UFC's all-time biggest stars. A special video was shown to hype the return of Ronda Rousey which also includes a preview of her upcoming title fight. After the presentation, Joe Rogan called both fighters to the stage for them to face-off in front of the fans and the media.

Rogan then proceeded to interview Nunes who was talking about how she prepared for her upcoming fight with the former champ. When Rogan went to interview Rousey, the former champ has already left. UFC President Dana White said in an MMA Fighting interview that it was Rogan who made the call to interview the fighters. He added that Rousey and Nunes were only supposed to square off. He further claimed that what happened was a production error that made Rousey look bad, that it was only a misunderstanding.

Dave Meltzer of f4wonline reported that the first public appearance of the Ronda Rousey is one of a kind. He pointed that the fighter was visibly upset afterward. He further said that Rousey needs to be consoled after her first promotional appearance. It is notable that the former champ has suffered from her previous defeat from Holly Holm. She was knocked out by a head kick in just round two.After that event, Rousey became tremendously disheartened. She admitted she had thoughts of suicide during those times.

Nunes and Rousey will be fighting in the main event of UFC 207 for the women's bantamweight title. It will be held in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 30, 2016.
