Recently, iOS and MacOS users have been bombarded with events notifications on their apple devices and have expressed concerns over their privacy and Apple's security measures. Invitations are allowed to be sent by unauthorized users which are directly pushed to the handset by Apple's Calendar App.

Apple's Calendar Spam Issue

According to Forbes, a buddle alert is received on the app, which is a text in the inbox that you have to read. In fact, depending on the settings you have made to your device you may receive a useful notification stating that there is no another choice apart from reading and clearing the alert.

It has been reported by ArsTechnica that an unsolicited and unwanted message are reaching the Apple device owners. In fact, the message took an advantage of the default settings in Apples iCloud calendar service. The email was bypassed thoroughly allowing the senders automatically push calendar alerts to Apple iOS and MacOS users.

This problem is also infiltrating to iCloud Photo sharing. The problem is occurring because there is an automatic scan of MacOS and iOS inbox for calendar invites. It is a great feature as you don't have to search your inbox for an invitation. But it is annoying when you receive the influx of spam invites.

Temporary Fixes For The Calendar Spam Issue

Gizmodo reported that while waiting for Apple to resolve the issue, users can create a new calendar, label it spam and simply send all the spam invitations there. User then need to delete the calendar.

Users can also disable the auto-add calendar feature from the iCloud account. This can be done by going to calendars. Select preferences from the gear icon. Click on the advanced option and scroll down to invitations and select the option that users wish to receive event invitations only through email in spite of an app notification.
