Alabama is the undisputed number one team holding a 24-game winning feat in the SEC game. The team has beaten Clemson in last season's final championship. Since then, the team has never lagged in their standings. But Alabama is not a perfect team, and there are some angles that need improvement. Here are the rundown and the possible ways to counter it.

Fumbles

Alabama rarely makes fumbles, which is a must for the team. For this season the team only ranked 116^th among the 128 FBS teams. O.J. Howard was quoted by Al saying that the team has a lot of ball security issues. He added that it is them not focusing on taking care of the ball. Jalen Hurts, Alabama's Quarterback added a new breadth to the team's offense and was ranked 98^th leading rusher in the nation.

Interceptions

Interceptions have been a recurrent issue of the Alabama's offense. The team, however, has an interesting defensive response to turnovers. For three times, opponent's offenses have transformed the team's giveaways into touchdowns. It started 26-36-and 11 yard lines respectively.

Red zone

Alabama's winning games is on the average margin of 28 points in every game. Only one game came with less than a touchdown of cushion. On the other hand, The Tide's red-zone scoring percentage is not that bad. The scoring percentage is at 83.7 to rank 36th in the country. It's the touchdown rate that has struggled.

Alabama ranked in the 73rd spot, with a red zone touchdown percentage of 60. The Tide made five trips inside the 20, two of which ended in the end zone. It stalled twice inside the Tiger 15 before halftime. With field goals in its place of touchdowns, the advantage was just 13-9.

Kickoff coverage

Alabama has not tolerated an opponent to return a kick for a touchdown. Of the 42 kickoffs returned, Tide foes have engaged it 30-plus yards on seven junctures. That's enough for the Alabama coverage unit to rank 97th in the national in that category. Having the nation's No. 19 scoring offense, the team had the 10th most kickoffs in the country reported by SecCountry. It kicked touchbacks 52 percent of the time. The Tide has had a solution to the shortcomings.
