Sony Xperia X Performance Receives OTA Android Nougat Update

Following quite a while of beta testing, Sony's much awaited flagship smartphone Xperia X performance has at last started rolling out the anticipated update of Android Nougat (firmware build number 39.2.A.0.327).

In the Xperia line up of cell phones, the Xperia X Performance (model number: F8131) is the first to get the updated Android 7.0 Nougat. According to Xperia blog, the OTA update has supposedly started taking off in some Phones around the world. This is also occurring to the dual SIM version (model number: F8132) of the smartphone.

Reports regarding the installation are as follows: Just in case one receives an OTA update alert He/she has to click "Yes, I'm in". The software will download and users should install it manually. The phone is restarted automatically and is updated with the new Nougat features.

The new update brings enhanced and useful features of the phone. Bundled notification system, upgraded Security and a multi-window feature are some of the new things users can experience. A battery power optimization is also an interesting and exclusive Xperia phone series feature.

The camera of the phone has got the better part of the upgrade. Manual shutter speed controls and manual ISO correction will be available for users, allowing them to take photos like a professional.

According to Sony's declaration, the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z4 tablet and Xperia Z3+ series phones will get the Nougat upgrade around December. Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra, which are slated to get Android 7.0 Nougat in mid-2017 will be the last group of cell phones to get the upgrade.

The updates have recently occurred in LG G5 on T-Mobile and HTC 10 phone as well. Samsung also started beta testing its Nougat upgrade on Galaxy S7 and S7 edge a couple of weeks back, and the third beta variant was revealed a couple days prior.
