Another video-game-to-movie adaptation film will rock the silverscreen on December 21, in the United States before Christmas Day. Ubisoft releases "Assasin's Creed" new trailer.

After the successful "Tom Raider" series, the successful film franchise back in 2000s, the "Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, with the collaboration of Ubisoft, the gaming studio that created the Assasin's Creed franchise, and 20^th Century Fox, want to land the spotlight of best game movies. Ubisoft aims the film to "break history of mediocre video games" and calls it a "milestone film," Gamespot reported.

With the direction of Justin Kurzel, who directed the biographical crime drama film that garnered AACTA Award for Best Direction and Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for Best Direction and was nominated in Inside Film Award for Best Director back in 2011 and the famous Macbeth, the British-French-American film adaptation of William Shakespeare's play of the same name just last year, which also got nominated in British Independent Film Award for Best Director of a British Independent Film and in Cannes Film Festival - Palme d'Or, is teamed with the famous Marvel Comics antihero, Magneto in the X-Men series, Michael Fassbender. Academy award winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons also join the cast.

Two movie trailers have been released which, in the first trailer, Calum Lynch, Fassbender's role, is supposed to be executed but instead finds himself spirited away by Cotillard's Sophia Rikkin, who works for the suspicious Abstergo Industries - a front for the Templars. The second trailer assassins placed more emphasis on the modern day action and the unpredictable and violent nature of Fassbender's career criminal Lynch, steering it away from "Prince Of Persia" territory and closer to "Twelve Monkeys", Digital Spy described. Fassbender is a direct descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th century Spain.

Jean-Julien Baronnet, the CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, told French film magazine Premiere  that "we have an enormous brand and we want to make a film modelled on [films] like "Batman Begins" or "Blade Runner."
