iOS 10.3 Release Date, Latest News & Update: Theater Mode Feature Highlighting Next Apple Operating System
Apple is expected to start work on iOS 10.3, a new update which could bring more bugs and fixes that iOS 10.2 was unable to cover. That includes the celebrated 30-percent battery bug which has not yet been addressed. Other than that, there are of course more to cover and all that should come to play once the beta phase kicks in. Apple has yet to announce it officially but a tipster claimed via social media that all that will roll on Jan. 10, 2017.

Sonny Dickson spread over Twitter that the first developer beta of iOS 10.3 would be released next week with one key feature called “Theater Mode”. That said, it doesn’t really require much deliberation that Apple could be following up that TV app that came on iOS 10.2 with some home theater-kind of a compliment.
This follows up previous rumors that iOS 10.3 will focus mainly on iPads, ironically a device that could be used as a media streaming device on its own, Slash Gear reported. For a bigger setup, all one needs are the necessary cables to bigger displays or even home theater systems. Aside from media, “Theater Mode” may technically cover other media parts of Apple devices. That may include alerts, notifications or sounds in an enhanced kind of way.
With not much to work on, all that may be revealed next week assuming Dickson is right. According to Forbes, Theater Mode will reportedly be found at the Control Center for iPhones and iPads and will be represented by popcorn icon. That added dish should easily support the earlier claim that Apple is building on the TV app on iOS 10.2 and turn devices into a portable home theater solution.

While Theater Mode on iOS 10.3 is something, most prefer to see the 30-percent battery bug addressed. Like most apps present, the innovations planned by the Cupertino company are useless if they are not able to stay up for longer periods of time.
