Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has been publicly open about her struggles with her weight. Now, she is talking about her recent 42-pound weight loss and how she was able to do it to Weight Watchers Magazine.

The 62-year-old talk show host has always been open about her weight loss journey, according to Theresa DiMasi, the magazine's editor-in-chief told ABC News. The publication is currently focusing on its "Live Fully" campaign, which features Winfrey and other participants in the program sharing an elegant outdoor dinner.

"Intention is the most powerful principle" is the primary rule that Winfrey lives by. When she asked herself what her true intention is in her weight loss journey, it was to live more fully. Her journey was filled with setbacks, but she has overcome them. She even reveals that she is not depriving herself so much now.

DiMasi echoes the host's statement and agrees that a clear intention is important for people struggling with dropping the pounds.

Many people have been inspired by Oprah Winfrey's weight loss, that topping their resolutions this year is to probably head to the gym. With this in mind, many establishments are getting ready for the arrival of newbies who want to get in shape after the holidays.

On Monday, Jan. 2, the personal training, front desk, spa, group fitness, and housekeeping managers from four Vida Fitness gyms gathered in the fourth-floor office of U Street to discuss their strategies, according to Washington Post

Besides newcomers, regular gym goers are also expected to fill up fitness centers particularly in January. This often leads to longer wait times in between using the equipment.

These gym officials suggest a few ways for members to avoid feeling overwhelmed by the influx of people in January. These include adding a few more classes, ensuring the front desk is well-staffed at all times and occassionally calling to check on a member's progress.
