Jeremy Lin Latest News & Updates: New Hamstring Injury A Minor Setback, ‘Linsanity’ Returning Soon
Jeremy Lin suffered another hamstring injury in December though the latest setback is not as severe as the one he had back in November. The latest injury covered a different area which should be good news for Brooklyn Net fans.
Despite that revelation, there is no official timetable on when Jeremy Lin can return to action. Lin is back shooting hoops though his status seems to be day-to-day. He will likely miss at least one more week of NBA action, NBA.com reported. “It hurt a lot less when it happened and everything is progressing better than the previous one," Lin shared. He continued that this has made him feel "encouraged" and that if given a similar position, the situation would also be different.
With Lin still out, Net coach Kenny Atkinson will have to turn to other players to fill up the slack. Sean Kilpatrick will need to fill in yet again, alternating with other players like Caris LeVert, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Randy Foye. As mentioned in a previous post, Randy Foye showed how a chance in play could help maximize the likes of Brook Lopez. From a run-and-gun team, Foye used his experience and shifted to a more deliberate offense.
With more set plays, the Nets almost pulled the rug from under the Chicago Bulls (99-101). With the Nets at the cellar of the Eastern Conference with an 8-25 win-loss card, a change-up may not hurt. December was especially unkind for Atkinson and his boys managing to win only 3 of their 15-game schedule. The defense has been a concern for the Nets, ironically something even Jeremy Lin pointed out before.
Foye could be the answer to that, proving his toughness against the Bulls’ guards. The Nets dropped another one to the Utah Jazz (101-89) with their upcoming games expected to get tougher. The Nets will face the Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers next, with the latter looming as the only one giving Atkinson and company chances at snagging a win, Nothin But Nets reported.
