‘Super Mario Run’ News & Update: Nintendo Game Coming To Android; Google Play Store Offers Pre-Registration
Android users can now finally experience "Super Mario Run" as Google Play store revealed its coming. The content app opened a pre-registration page on Dec. 29, 2016 for the interested players who want to get a notification in time for its release.
However, it is not yet revealed when "Super Mario Run" will officially come out for Android. But, some deem it would go live in early 2017, predictably at the end of January, according to Yahoo Tech. Google Play store also unveiled the game's trailer, which is very similar to the title's iOS version. Since Nintendo also did the pre-registration invite for the coming of "Super Mario Run" on Android, it just causes a stir comparing the release dates between the two platforms.
On iOS, the pre-registration started a month before its December 15 release, thus Android users expect it to come a month after Google Play store went live on Dec. 29. Moreover, the Android version of "Super Mario Run" will also let its players play the game for free in the first few stages.
The full game can be played for £7.99 in the UK and $9.99 in the U.S. Nintendo executive Tatsumi Kimishima said that downloading the title is for free, but enjoying its entire content comes with a price. He also confirmed that no other fees will follow and children can fully enjoy the game, PC Advisor noted. Meanwhile, security experts warn Android users to be wary of mobile apps that offering a version of "Super Mario Run," ahead of its official release.
Daily Express reported that "Super Mario Run" comes with a number of dangerous malware. The researchers at the security firm Trend Micro confirmed that a lot of malicious Android apps are taking advantage of the game's popularity and other contents to penetrate the Android devices.
