'Overwatch' News & Update: 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Star Terry Crews Wants to Play Doomfist; Here's Why It Works

"Overwatch" fans are well aware that a character reveal is coming soon for the multiplayer first-person shooter video game from Blizzard. With it comes speculation that "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Terry Crews will voice the upcoming character, and it seems that it's a perfect fit.

The news comes via Polygon, which reports that the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star has taken to Twitter to ask fans, "Who wants to hear me do the voice of Doomfist for real??" Crews is of course referring to Doomfist, the upcoming "Overwatch" character who is rumored to be unveiled very soon. The character got his name from teh legendary Doomfist gauntlet that's being passed on amongst warriors.

Thanks to the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star's tweet, many "Overwatch" fans have taken to social media to express their support of the idea. All fans are waiting for now is official word from Blizzard. According to VG24/7, Crews visited Blizzard back in December and even shared a photo of himself in their studios. The actor, who plays Sgt. Terry Jeffords on the FOX comedy, admitted that "Overwatch" is his favorite game.

Now, fans are speculating that Blizzard has closed a deal with the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star following his tweet. Others believe that he's still campaigning to get the role of Doomfist. Nonetheless, fans are eager to know whether or not Crews will be part of "Overwatch" very soon.

In other "Overwatch" news, Mic reports that an upcoming update will finally address Roadhog's hook, that appears to be broken. Gamers should expect the PTR patch to arrive this week.
