Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus News & Update: Motorola Confirmed Rolling Of Android 7.0 Nougat Update In Germany
Good news for the Moto G4 users in the European country as Motorola Germany confirmed the rolling of Android 7.0 Nougat update by the end of January. Aside from the said unit, the Moto G4 Plus might also receive Android O update, although nothing is confirmed for this unit yet.
It has been said that these updates are one of the main reasons why people opt to buy Motorola phones, the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. The news was confirmed by Motorola itself when a fan asked it on Twitter if the assumptions about the Moto G4 getting Android O update are true. The communications equipment company responded by tweeting back that the users will be treated with the Android 7.0 Nougat update instead.
It is expected that the Android 7.0 Nougat update would roll out for the Moto G4 at the end of December 2016, but the smartphone users receive nothing. Moreover, according to Droidmen, as the rolling of new update takes time, Motorola has enough time to make it perfect with fewer bugs and issues. However, as this would be the first ever update from the smartphone maker, there is still a big chance that it will still have a number of errors.
Meanwhile, GSM Arena reported that the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus users in Asia already received their Android 7.0 Nougat update in December. Now, it will start rolling in the European units, although Motorola has yet to announce the exact date it will be received. Also, the company didn't mention about the Moto G4 Plus in its tweet, but there are strong assumptions that it is also set to be updated along with the standard G4.
On the other hand, Droidmen warned every user that it won't recommend everyone to update its Moto G4 instantly with Android 7.0 Nougat as it might have a lot of bugs. But if the user wants to receive the update, it advised that they should be ready to handle the bugs and other issues coming with it.
