'Final Fantasy XIV' News & Update: Patch 3.5 'Far Edge Of Fate' Arriving January 17; Features 'Shadows Of Mhach' Storyline
Fans of "Final Fantasy XIV" have a lot to look forward to this month, including a slew of new content for the game. The new goodies arriving to the game come in the form of Patch 3.5 titled "The Far Edge of Fate," arriving January 17. The new patch will feature the gamer's ability to explore Baelsar's Wall, which was previously off limits.
The news comes via Game Reactor UK, which reports that "Final Fantasy XIV" gamers can now scale the Baelsar's Wall in Patch 3.5. This wall stands between the three Eorzean cites and the Garlean Empire-dominated cities. Moreover, gamers will also be able to go on a mission that will require heading back to the Sohm Al dungeon.

Meanwhile, "Final Fantasy XIV" gamers who are awaiting the Patch 3.5 titled "The Far Edge of Fate" should also know that there will be a new "Shadows of Mhach" storyline coming with the update. There will be a new chapter, new primal fight titled "Zuvan," as well as exploratory missions. Gamers must also note that the "Party Finder" will see improvements in Patch 3.5, while the PvP's two modes called "Frontline" and "Duel" will also see new updates.
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Square Enix has released a new trailer for the Patch 3.5 titled "The Far Edge of Fate." The "Final Fantasy XIV" trailer is eight minutes long and gives gamers a first look at what's to come this January 17. The description of the patch that came along with the new trailer promises a new map for "The Feast," as well as updates on the "Duty Finder."
