'Mass Effect Andromeda' News & Update: PC Pre-Load Happening in March; BioWare Confirms No Season Pass For Upcoming Game
BioWare's Mass Effect Andromeda is finally arriving this March to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and with it comes news that pre-load is also happening in March for PC users. However, BioWare confirms that there's no Season Pass for upcoming game, as the studio might roll out new post-launch content for free.
The news comes via PlayStation Lifestyle, which reports that BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn took to Twitter to share that there will be no Season Pass for upcoming game "Mass Effect Andromeda." When asked if there will be fre multiplayer DLC by a fan on Twitter, Flynn remained tight-lipped, replying that they will "talk more about that later."
While it is an open-ended response, gamers will have to wait until March to find out if BioWare will be rolling out paid updates and DLC's for "Mass Effect Andromeda." Meanwhile, gamers can now prepare for the pre-load happening in March as well. According to VG24/7, two EA Origin users have taken to Reddit to share that "Mass Effect Andromeda" can be pre-loaded beginning March 17 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET, four days ahead of its March 21 release.
Moreover, the report indicates that EA Access and Origin gamers who are looking to play "Mass Effect Andromeda" on Xbox One and PC will be able to do so earlier than March 21. While BioWare hasn't announced how early these gamers can get their hands on the game, the assumption is that those who did pre-order the game from these services will get to play at most seven days earlier than everyone else.
The highly anticipated release date for "Mass Effect Andromeda" was announced during this year's CES. The BioWare action role-playing third-person shooter video game will arrive on March 21 to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Check out the trailer below.
