'Beauty and The Beast' News & Update: Emma Watson Shows Off Singing Chops In New Golden Globe Awards TV Spot
A good marketing strategy is knowing when and how to promote your product, and how to get the widest reach. That's exactly what Disney did when they aired a new TV spot for the highly anticipated "Beauty and the Beast" live-action film arriving this March. Like several of its Disney predecessors, "Beauty and the Beast" is the first live-action adaptation of the 1997 film. The highly anticipated release is set for March 16.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Beauty and the Beast" star Emma Watson shows off singing chops in new TV spot aired during the Golden Globe Awards. In the 30-second clip, fans can hear and see Watson as Belle, singing "Belle (Reprise)." The clip also shows Belle singing on a grass field, which looks like an homage to "The Sound of Music."
Now that Emma Watson shows off singing chops in new Golden Globe Awards TV spot for "Beauty and the Beast," fans have wondered why it has taken her so long to sing on the big screen. CNET reported that the TV spot isn't the only treat Disney has in store for fans, as the weekend also saw the arrival of the new live-action poster featuring the characters in the film.
"Beauty and the Beast" stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, and Luke Evans as Gaston. Kevin Kline will be the face of Maurice, as Ewan McGregor suits up to be Lumiere. The film is directed by Bill Condon, whose credits include "Chicago," "Dreamgirls," and "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" parts one and two.
Music is by the undisputed Alan Menken, while the screenplay is written by Stephen Chbosky of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" fame, together with Evan Spiliotopoulos. "Beauty and the Beast" hits theaters this March 16.
