The CW 'Constantine' Animated Series Could Feature 'Justice League Dark' Connection As Matt Ryan Reprises Title Role
Fans who were greatly disappointed when NBC cancelled "Constantine" finally have a reason to celebrate. The DC character is set to star in his own animated series that will air on The CW Seed. In addition to that, Matt Ryan will provide John Constantine's voice once again.
This isn't the first time that Matt Ryan has done any voice work for his beloved character. The actor is set to appear as John Constantine in the animated film "Justice League Dark" as well. But is it possible that The CW Seed's new series will be connected to the grim and violent Jay Oliva movie? Could "Constantine" feature characters from "Justice League Dark"?
It was recently announced that "Constantine" will be brought back by The CW Seed as an animated series. Not surprisingly, fans celebrated on social media but there was one person who was undoubtedly the happiest with the news. Matt Ryan tweeted about the announcement with a caption that could be seen as an understatement.

It's no surprise that fans began speculating on a possible connection between the "Constantine" animated series and "Justice League Dark". Some believe that The CW's show could even feature some cameos from Zatanna, Swamp Thing or Etrigan the Demon. However, it is still unclear whether any members of the JLD will make an appearance in John Constantine's new show.
The CW has not yet announced the "Constantine" animated series air date but the network has already ordered five episodes for the show. In the meantime, fans can catch Matt Ryan as John Constantine in "Justice League Dark", which will be released digitally on January 25. The film will available on Blu-Ray and DVD on February 7.
