‘Gears of War 5’ News & Update: People Behind The Game Hint Title’s Coming; Tease It's Just ‘Around The Corner’
As "Gears of War 4" was released in October 2016, a lot of fans were now expecting the announcement of "Gears of War 5." It has been said that the development of the fifth game installment from the "Gears of War" franchise depends on the performance of the newly released title. Hence, as it gathers a good response, it is more likely that a new game is coming.
The Co-Founder and Managing Director of Synergy 88 Digital Jackie Chua revealed that the making of "Gears of War 5" is "around the corner" at the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS). However, her confirmation is followed by an assumption that it is the news that she has heard from the internet, according to SegmentNext.
It has been known that Synergy 88 Digital worked with The Coalition to bring the environment of "Gears of War 4" to life. The Coalition Director of Production Walter de Torres, on the other hand, hinted that they are looking forward to collaborating with them once again for another project. Hence, some deem that this would be the much-talked about "Gears of War 5."
Meanwhile, in an interview with Digital Spy, the Coalition Studio Head Rod Ferguson unveiled that since Microsoft now owns the video game franchise, this allowed them to make "Gears of War 4" with a different take. The chief hinted that knowing the technology company's investment, they are sure that they are going to work with another one. This, too, hints that "Gears of War 5" is definitely coming.
Ferguson revealed that working with Microsoft made designing the game easier. He also admitted that doing the previous game titles from the franchise gave them a lot of doubt as they didn't expect that it would have a new installment. Working with the tech-giant, he added, gave them a "great idea that doesn't quite fit right now," but will definitely suit the next one to make it easier. With all these claims, it only leads to the coming of "Gears of War 5" in the near future.
