‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: MewTwo Still Not Found, Niantic Left Dealing With Frustrated Players

“Pokemon Go” Gen 2 already rolled out and a lot of augmented reality players have taken note of the things that didn’t happen. Among the anticipated new features include player vs. player battles and Pokemon trading, both of which never came out. Aside from that, there are the rares that most are waiting for – particularly Mewtwo.

It was previously believed that the tough Mewtwo would be out as part of the final critters for Gen 1. The “Pokemon Go” character has never been seen since the game debuted last year leading many to question its existence. Considered a rare, spotting the Pokemon may be tough as they come but such does not justify why Niantic has not offered hints on where the badass pocket monster truly is.

The answer to the mystery surrounding Mewtwo on “Pokemon Go” can only be answered by the game developers over at Niantic. John Hanke is likely to stand pat on his claim that the critter is available and that folks are simply not looking hard enough. Seeing how the game covers a global niche, no one has "authentically" seen the said critter. He is one of the missing characters tied up to the legendary birds with one known as Mew, Neurogadget reported.

Rewinding to last year, there was word that Mewtwo would be one of the big revelations this 2017. The critter was believed to be only appearing once the “Pokemon Go” Gen 2 rolled out, once again pointing you to the initial claim of this piece. If it is any consolation, the year has only started so Niantic may still be working on the grand release of the Pokemon. Most feel that the best time to see the rare out in the open would be between March to May 2017, Forbes reported.

Should his be the case, “Pokemon Go” players have no choice to wait. It will be interesting to see how many are still hooked on to the game though Niantic continues to be active in the daily quests and special events scene. But the better question is will Niantic hold up on its end and let Mewtwo come out in the open?
