When Rockstar Games revealed that they are working on a new project, this stirred up speculations that they may be starting on the highly-anticipated "Grand Theft Auto 6" already. But reports claim that there is still a lot of uncertainty in the development of "GTA 6" especially that the games' rumored new feature may be too high for Rockstar Games' budget.

The video game developer did not initially elaborate on what specific game they were on. Unfortunately for the "Grand Theft Auto 6" fans, Rockstar Games has more than one popular games under their belt, so it's quite hard to say for sure if they meant "GTA 6."

Neurogadget has previously reported that the production for the highly-anticipated "Grand Theft Auto 6" allegedly came to a screeching halt due to its new setting. Rockstar Games is also gearing up to launch "Red Dead Redemption 2" which they are giving more attention for now just like the "Grand Theft Auto 5." It seems that "GTA 6" is facing more problems than progress as it has previously reported that the budget for the game may be too high for Rockstar Games.

There are a lot of whispers and speculations that "Grand Theft Auto 6" may feature VR or AR support, and because of this added feature, Rockstar Games will definitely dig deep down their pockets. Up until now, Rockstar Games has not revealed the exact release date for "Grand Theft Auto 6." But just because they are keen to keep this detail a mystery for now, doesn't mean that fans will not try to figure things out for themselves.

The latest "Grand Theft Auto 6" release date rumor points out to a 2018 launch. Fans got this idea basing on the previous "Grand Theft Auto" release dates. The "Grand Theft Auto" games usually have a five-year gap in between releases, but with the reportedly high budget as a result of adding VR to the game, the development for "GTA 6" may push as late as 2020. Rockstar Games has yet to comment on these rumored release dates.
