‘The Story of God’ Season 2 News & Update: Morgan Freeman To Search For Divinity; Episode Synopsis, Features Revealed
Morgan Freeman made noise in 2016 when he did a documentary about God for National Geographic Channel. Now, the 79-year-old legendary actor is back with "The Story of God" Season 2 to search for the divine. For more than a year, Freeman has travelled the world to search for God. Not literally finding the Supreme Being, but to understand how people with different beliefs from various countries worship the principal object of faith.
In "The Story of God" Season 2, "The Shawshank Redemption" star will continue his exploration in Minnesota, London and Thailand. In an interview with National Geographic, Freeman explained what he has learned from his quest. "Well I've found that God is pretty universal wherever we go," he said.
Morgan Freeman added that every person has a "different approach to the same idea." In "The Story of God" Season 2, they will first visit Minnesota; will find the revived lama and the most important religious figure. >In their visit to Thailand, viewers will know about the Mah Song; the men who prick their faces with swords. Freeman will explain that this practice is part of the Taoist tradition and these guys feel like they are called to do that.
This, too, is said to be giving them a divine power. Furthermore, he also told Huffington Post that they are going to deal with esoteric, internal and external views in "The Story of God" Season 2 that will lead to different more questions that will make their investigation dig deeper.
Meanwhile, "The Story of God" Season 2 would only feature three episodes that would explore the religious themes of Minnesota, London and Thailand. The first episode would be about the "chosen one"; the people who are singled out for having an access to divinity. The second episode is about heaven and hell that will discover their beliefs about the afterlife. Lastly, they will try to investigate if there is indeed a proof of God and how some find and look for it.
