'Vikings' Season 4 Predictions Spoilers: Ivar Defies Ragnar Lothbrok's Orders, Tortures King Aelle With Blood Eagle In 'Revenge'

Ragnar Lothbrok's death may have happened three weeks ago, but fans of "Vikings" Season 4 are still waiting for justice for the former King of Kattegat. There is little doubt that Lagertha and the Great Heathen Army will attack Northumbria and Wessex in "Revenge". But is it possible that Ivar the Boneless will go against what Ragnar had ordered and kill King Aelle in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 18?

In "All His Angels", Ragnar Lothbrok ordered Ivar the Boneless to attack Wessex after his death. His crippled son has since gone home to Kattegat, found out about Lagertha's murder of Aslaug and rallied his brothers to declare war on the world.

But before Ivar can seek vengeance for his beloved mother, he will undoubtedly head for England to avenge Ragnar's assassination in "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 18. Will "Revenge" find King Aelle being tortured by Ragnar's furious sons and getting the Blood Eagle carved on his back?

The synopsis for "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 18 confirms that the Great Heathen Army is headed for Northumbria, not Wessex as Ragnar Lothbrok had ordered. Or could this be something that Ragnar had intended in the first place? Ivar the Boneless and the rest of Ragnar's sons might have every intention to capture King Aelle and subject him to the same torture their father endured. Could "Revenge" take another page from Norse legend and show the King of Northumbria having his ribs broken as he gets the Blood Eagle?

According to Norse legends, Ivar the Boneless and Ragnar Lothbrok's other sons decided to carve the Blood Eagle on King Aelle's back after he was captured. Some believe that this could be one of the highlights of "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 18, or perhaps the entire season. Find out how Ivar will avenge his father's death in "Revenge", which airs on History on January 18.
