Tom Hardy James Bond: 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Star Discusses Coveted 007 Role As Daniel Craig Replacement
Tom Hardy has a truly stellar acting career that includes awesome performances as the DC villain Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises" and the new Max Rockatansky in "Mad Max: Fury Road". However, it looks like the "Taboo" star is getting ready to take on yet another coveted role soon. Will Hardy take over as James Bond when current 007 Daniel Craig retires from the role?
There is little doubt that Tom Hardy is a favorite when it comes to fancasting Daniel Craig's replacement as James Bond. Now the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star has decided to speak up about the possibility that he will take on the role of 007 in future Bond films.
The star of new BBC series "Taboo" recently discussed the chances of him becoming the new James Bond. Or rather, he decided not to talk about it. Nevertheless, Tom Hardy somehow admitted that he doesn't want to jinx his chances of being the new 007 if he addresses the issue.
"If you talk about it, you’re automatically out of the race so I can’t possibly comment on that one," Tom Hardy said of being the new James Bond. This could be a good move for the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star if he has plans to take on the role after Daniel Craig. Hopefully, the part of 007 will be offered to Hardy soon so he can openly discuss the future. Becoming the new James Bond after Daniel Craig isn't the only thing Tom Hardy is looking forward to in the future.
The "Taboo" star also admitted that he is eager to start working on the "Mad Max: Fury Road" sequel to "get back in the leathers" as Max Rockatansky. "I'm hungry to go back out," Hardy admitted. There is no confirmation just yet if Tom Hardy will replace Daniel Craig as James Bond in future 007 films. Likewise, the "Mad Max: Fury Road" sequel has not been announced.
