‘Halo 6’ Might Be Unveiled In Time Of Microsoft Project Scorpio’s Release; Reports Slam

It was only in 2015 when "Halo 5" was released in October. With that, fans of the game franchise will still have to wait for a long while for the coming of "Halo 6." However, there are reports surfacing online that a new installment of first-person shooter video game will be released together with Microsoft Project Scorpio.

The speculations that "Halo 6" will be ready to be unveiled in the time of Microsoft Project Scorpio's release started when the chief operating officer Matt McCloskey left 343 Industries to be Twitch's vice president of commerce. According to SegmentNext, there might be two reasons for his exit. One is something bad happened or the next chapter of the "Halo" franchise is now completed. It has been said that the game's executives don't just easily leave knowing that their title is still in development.

Although the last claim is true, McCloskey is a former CEO of 343 Industries and has nothing to do with "Halo 6" development. Hence, he has the right to leave, although he didn't do it until "Halo Wars 2" is done and ready for Windows 10 and Xbox One. Some, too, say that his exit will never affect the game's progress.

To recall, 343 Industries' Frank O'Connor revealed a year ago (via Tweak Town) that they were already preparing and building the core foundation for "Halo 6." "We're doing serious, real planning and even some writing on the next game already," he teased. He also hinted that they now have the idea what will happen in the game for, maybe, "10 years from now."

This, too, might be the reason why some game enthusiasts find "Halo 5: Guardians" dull and empty. Some say that the aforementioned title feels unfinished, even though it is already released for a year now. Evidently, 343 Industries focus its attention developing to its other projects like "Halo 6" and "Halo Wars 2," which the latter is said to be released for Microsoft Project Scorpio and Xbox video game consoles in 2017.
