February is set to be an exciting month for fans of Ubisoft's "Rainbow Six Siege," the first-person tactical shooter video game released on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One back in 2015. On its second year, the game will be rolling out a lot of new content that gamers can get excited about. In fact, the next big update for "Rainbow Six Siege" is coming very soon in the form of "Velvet Shell."

According to GameSpot, "Velvet Shell" is the upcoming free update for "Rainbow Six Siege" and will be arriving sometime in February, as there's no release date set in stone yet. Fans can, howevever, look forward to the live demo of "Velvet Shell" when it launches February 5. Gamers can expect a new map and two Operators once the update arrives.

"Rainbow Six Siege" gamers should also anticipate the new maps to come for free for all players. The characters, however, will only be free for those who will buy a season pass for Year Two. For those who do not intent to get a season pass however, will have to purchase the characters via in-game currency or real money. For those who are interested in the "Velvel Shell" free update live stream, make sure to tune in when it launches on February 5.

Meanwhile, in other "Rainbow Six Siege" news, Gamereactor reported last week that Update 5.3 is now available. It features a new pause button that enables the host of a Player-hosted custom game to pause the match during the Operator Selection phase. In addition, some issues have also been addressed in the new update, which fans are encouraged to download immediately.
