Game enthusiasts are now waiting for the release of PlayStation 5 and the new titles that come with it. However, when the president of Sony's Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, was asked about the game console, he answered that he thought it was a question of "if" instead of "when."

Microsoft is about to release Project Scorpio, which is believed to be the Xbox Two, and Sony is expected to match it by unveiling the PlayStation 5. But the latter contradicts the idea of upgrading its game console every year like smartphones, according to TechRadar. It has been said that the finances of the company will be affected if it will make new units annually.

It is also known that the longer the game console stays on the market, it can gather much higher sale. This is simply because the manufacturing costs of creating new ones are reduced while the game publishers can sell more copies of their old and new titles. On the other hand, PlayStation 5 is said to be different from its predecessors and this might be supported by Yoshida's claim about the game console.

Meanwhile, while the players are enjoying the return of the Gravity Queen Kat with the release of "Gravity Rush" 2 recently, Sony Interactive Entertainment is now preparing for the game's next installment. In an interview with Famitsu (via Gamereactor UK), series director Keiichiro Toyama revealed that his next take of the game will not be a prequel but a whole new story that is very different from the series.

Nevertheless, Toyama still wants to get back doing the original series, but it might happen with the help of a new technology to make "Gravity 3" far more different from what it used to. Hence, some deem that he might be talking about a new generation of game console that might be the much-awaited PlayStation 5.
