'Dishonored 2' News: Free Update 2 With Custom Difficulty Settings, Mission Select Available Now On All Platforms
Last week, Bethesda rolled out the beta for Free Update 2 for "Dishonored 2" on PC via Steam. This time, however, the studio has rolled out the update for all platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as PC. This means that all "Dishonored 2" gamers can now enjoy the new custom difficulty settings, mission select, and a slew of bug fixes that come with Free Update 2.
According to Gamespot, the second major update for "Dishonored 2" was released by Bethesda yesterday. Along with it comes the custom difficulty setting that features over 20 sliders that gamers can adjust to change up the game and make it more challenging. With this new game setting, players can identify just how many enemies are going to attack and how quickly the Sleep Darts take effect.
In addition, the new custom difficulty settings that come with the Free Update 2 are now available on all platforms for "Dishonored 2" also features a very difficult mode called "Iron," which prevents players from saving or loading, so his or her untimely death means the end for that player.
Additionally, the Free Update 2 for "Dishonored 2" also features the new mission select, which enables gamers to replay a particular mission with all their details intact. No more having to start over to collect runes, money, and other items as players can just pick up where they were left or killed off.
Meanwhile, PlayStation Lifestyle reports that there are several PS4 fixes in the "Dishonored 2" Free Update 2. The studio has fixed a bug wherein the saved data becomes corrupted when regularly reloading auto-saves and deleted without user notice. The bug that causes an indefinite non-interactive screen when pressing the Power Wheel button during active play on PS Vita has also been fixed. They have also addressed a bug that messes up the save for a New Game Plus when used.
