'For Honor' Release Date, News & Update: Closed Beta Invites Rolling Out Now, Best Combos To Defeat Enemies

Valentine's Day could not come sooner for gamers who are eager to get their hands on Ubisoft's latest hack and slash game, "For Honor." Good thing there's a closed beta happening two days from now, on Thursday, January 26. In fact, some gamers who signed up may have already received their invites. According to Ubisoft, closed beta invites rolling out now, so gamers need to prepare their best combos to defeat enemies.

Ubisoft took to the game's official Twitter account to assure fans that closed beta invites rolling out now. According to the Ubisoft forums, the studio has begun sending out closed beta invites that will enable select players pre-load the beta on their respective consoles. It seems that there is a large number of participants for the "For Honor" closed beta on Thursday, as the studio indicated that the invite process will take time due to the volume of invites being sent out. In the meantime, gamers can think of the best combos to defeat enemies in the beta.

As closed beta invites rolling out now is happening across the world, the studio also reminded "For Honor" fans that they are aware of the error in the Xbox One download that indicates "For Honor Alpha" instead of beta. The highly anticipated beta is happening from January 26 to 29. Gamers are already encouraged to equip themselves with their best combos to defeat enemies.

While waiting for closed beta invites for "For Honor," gamers can check out this insightful video from IGN that shows just how gamers can use best combos to defeat enemies. For Wardens, gamers can use a two-button attack that uses the light attack and heavy attack buttons. This strategy can be used in combination with other attacks, or on its own. For Vikings, a similar attack comes in the form of using a guard break together with a light attack and a heavy attack.

"For Honor" gamers who will use Samurais to play, begin with a backward dash and then press down on the heavy attack button. Following the dash strike, immediately perform a light top attack twice, that makes one of your best combos to defeat enemies. Check out the video below to see these attacks in action.
